✨ Soren Richardson (⁠[e-mail]⁠) – Co-Director of the Parent Education Network. Born and raised in Aruba and fluent in four languages, Soren brings a wealth of lived and professional experience in special education advocacy. She is certified in Facilitated IEPs and has completed extensive training, including Florida Partners in Policymaking and Wrightslaw. Soren is passionate about helping families understand their rights and confidently navigate the IEP process.

✨ Nancy Torres Burling – Program Co-Director at PEN. Nancy joined FND in 2024 after 8 years on the Board and brings over two decades of expertise in family support, including her leadership at the University of Miami’s Family Navigator Program. With a background in psychology and human resources—and as a parent of a child with developmental delays—Nancy shares both personal and professional insights into empowering families and building inclusive communities.
