Streaking the Scriptures

Questions to Consider Why would the Lord include long genealogies and lifespans in scripture—what are we meant to learn from them? In what ways do our hearts harden and our spiritual hearing become dull—and how can it be restored? What can Enoch’s fear, humility, and calling teach us about our own ability to speak and act with God’s help? In this episode of Streaking the...

Episode Summary

In this episode of Streaking the Scriptures, we walk through Moses 1, Abraham 3, and Genesis 1 to rediscover the grand purpose behind creation — and the deeply personal meaning it has for each of us.

We begin with Moses’ sweeping vision of “worlds without number” and land on the simple, stunning truth at the heart of it all:
“This is my work and my glory — to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.”
Not power. Not spectacle. Not control. Love. Growth. Redemption. Eternal progression.

From there, we move into Abraham’s vision of the premortal world — where intelligences existed before this life, where some were called “noble and great,” and where each of us chose to follow Heavenly Father’s plan. We explore what it really means to be chosen, what it means to serve, and why being “great” in God’s kingdom looks nothing like greatness in the world.

Along the way, we talk about:

  • Giving ourselves and others grace, just as Christ is full of grace and truth.

  • Why serving is ruling in the Lord’s kingdom.

  • What it means that we are being “proved herewith” in this life.

  • Why being outside a visible “circle of greatness” does not make us less loved, less valued, or less destined for glory.

  • How exceeding faith and repentance shape who we become — here and eternally.

We then turn to Genesis 1 and walk through the Creation itself — not to debate the mechanics, but to feel the intention behind it. This world was made for you. This life was designed so that you could learn, grow, repent, love, serve, and ultimately return home.

This episode is an invitation to remember:
You are not an accident.
You are not forgotten.
You are not behind.
You are a child of God — in the middle of a sacred journey.

And if staying consistent with scripture study (or any life-giving practice) feels hard right now, that’s okay. This is why we talk about giving yourself grace and then simply… keeping going.

That’s exactly why tools like the MyStreaks app exist — not to create pressure, but to support gentle, faithful consistency. Whether it’s one verse a day, one prayer, one act of kindness, or one moment of reflection, MyStreaks helps you build small, meaningful streaks that keep you connected to what matters most — even on busy or imperfect days.

If you want to feel anchored again.
If you want to remember who you are.
If you want to feel both humbled by the universe and deeply loved within it.
If you want encouragement to keep showing up — imperfectly, faithfully, consistently —

This episode will bless you.

Listen in. Reflect deeply. Give yourself grace. And keep going.
