The film follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence – Silver Linings Playbook, X-Men: First Class) as she becomes the reluctant face of the rebellion against the Capitol after the destruction of District 12. Now hidden in the underground stronghold of District 13, Katniss struggles with her role as the Mockingjay while President Coin (Julianne Moore – Still Alice, Magnolia) and Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman – Capote, The Master) work to rally the districts into war.
