Sandra Richter holds the Robert H. Gundry Chair of Biblical Studies at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. She earned her PhD in Hebrew Bible from Harvard University and an MA in Theological Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Sandy is the author of "The Epic of Eden: A Christian Entry into the Old Testament" and a popular series of video Bible studies. She has taught at Asbury Theological Seminary, Wesley Biblical Seminary, and Wheaton College, earning a reputation for bringing the biblical narrative to life. A member of the NIV Translation Committee, she leads student groups in Israel to study historical geography and field archaeology. Sandy’s work intersects Syro-Palestinian archaeology, linguistics, and Bible studies. She is also active in environmental theology, authoring "The Stewards of Eden: What Scripture Says About the Environment and Why It Matters."
