Episode 53: Kj opens this episode with a podcast review! She then welcomes in first-time Midwest Guest Co-host, Sandra Rhode (2:26)! Topics discussed include: reviewing last week’s listener comments and questions about the Super Bowl quiz, Kansas City barbecue, how to make sauerkraut sweet, hand-written thank you notes, and Kim Willson River Beer. Sandra also weighs in on the great Kim Willson crockpot debate as well as the can-you-bring-donuts-into-the-chain-coffee-shop? and can-you-use-the-restroom-at-the-gas station-without-buying-anything? debates. They then discuss different terms/phrases used in obituaries to announce deaths. Is there a regional component?

Lastly, the HOFer joins Kj for another round of Taste Test with the Hall of Famer (43:38)! They test a Liquid Lollipop Sour from Froth Brewery and an Alpine Chateau Stout from Weldwerks Brewing Company.  And Roux makes several appearances...again. A good (central) time was had by all!
