Episode 51: Kj opens this episode with The Best Thing I Saw All Week before welcoming back Karen Mittelstadt as the Midwest Guest Co-host of the day (2:49)! They discuss a new movie, luggage, and Karen recaps her Christmas “unit” spending. Kj gives Karen some unsolicited advice, Karen weighs in as the Midwest Mediator regarding the Kim Willson crockpot debate and the proper use of the phrase "the other day." And Kj debuts a new (trial) segment - “Kj’s Question” wherein - surprise surprise - they discuss tipping. Later, Rachel Reports returns (45:40)! She defines what a “smile sundae” is, reports about her recent trips to Kansas City, Missouri, Arkansas, California, and Arizona, and describes her Most Midwestern Moment of the Week. Finally, the HOFer joins in for another round of Taste Test with the Hall of Famer (1:10:15)! They try a Bourbon Barrel Brownie with Vanilla Stout from West Sixth Brewing, and a Peach Party cider from Blake’s Hard Cider.  A good (central) time was had by all!
