Ally is in the final round of interviews for her dream job, but it would require her to leave the city. And she hasn’t told anyone about that possibility. Her fear triggers a spur-of-the-moment tour around the city for Samuel, full of flashbacks and esoteric sight-seeing.

Cam has gotten what he’s always wanted: Internet fame! Of course, that glow is short-lived as his short-tempered boss gives him way too much responsibility. Gillian is furious at him for using their lives as content, and Lydia won’t talk to him because he may or may not have been flirting with her while he was drunk the night before.

Gillian and Ashley have sent out their wedding invitations and Cam didn’t get one. Instead of asking them if his invite got lost in the mail, he follows Ally into work and drinks. Luckily, it’s the Road to El Dorado bar crawl, so there are plenty of bros dressed up as cartoonish Spaniards to drink with.

Cam realizes that male friendships are weird so he doesn’t know what to get Samuel for his birthday, so he reaches out to his work-wife Lydia for advice.

Samuel has finally pushed himself into following his dream of writing for a TV show… but that doesn’t mean he can’t procrastinate to an unholy degree. On his way to a coffee shop to write, he’s distracted by the magnetic and devious Nessie MacLean, the CEO of a startup that turns trains into co-working spaces. Cam and Ally have to save Samuel, but does really he need to be saved? Yes, yes he does.

Samuel’s mom is coming to visit and he’s a nervous wreck. Samuel tries to get his mom on the phone as she’s led through the city by famous actor David Boreanaz. Ally cannot control herself because she is a massive Boreanazite... and she happens to be waiting for a terrible package company to deliver a life-size pillow of his torso.
