The Fairfield Barbershop is currently (as of 2023-06-11) my favorite overdrive pedal. The sound is really pretty nasty. It's not a smooth or pristine sound. It has a lot of randomness to the sound and it can get kinda weird for an overdrive.

The Eventide Rose has a ton of stuff going for it. Lots of great sounds and a really wild modulation section. For this one I even hooked up an expression pedal because it can meld between two different settings. It doesn't work for me for a few reasons, There is too much going on and I don't like presets. The knobs feel a bit cheap even though the body of the pedal is all metal. Just not enough resistance to the knobs for me. Twisting the delay time with feedback turned up doesn't allow you to warp the sound interactively. I personally want a delay that I can interact with. Turns out I'm not...
