Hello, and thank you for lsitening to this Footnotes episode explaining both the products I used and approach I took in building the characters and "world" for this story. In our previous entry, taking the advice of the enigmatic and mysterious madam, K, Maevis and Eli began the journey to take the young girl home. Home to a mansion on the hill, where Maevis’ mother is believed to be a demonspawn beast known as a Botiskin. The pair began the lonely trek, with Eli doing his best to calm the nerves of the child. Upon reaching the house, Eli took care to approach in darkness, ignoring the lit path to the door. As storm clouds gathered in the west, replacing the setting sun, the door to the mansion opened.

In our previous entry, Maevis and Eli met with the enigmatic and mysterious K. Just the letter, not the full name. Eli pleaded with K to keep the young Maevis hidden in K’s brothel, but in an unexpected twist, K refused, instead telling Eli that K needs to bring the girl home to her mother - who is suspected of being able to transform into a beast known as a Botiskin. A beast that may have bitten young Maevis. Now the gunslinger faces a tough decision: Does he go and face the threat of what Maevis’ mother may be, or does he find a different solution?
