Your job has never been to do hard things. Your job is to find the way to doing challenging things more easily. Another way to say that is to let go of the resistance you added to the experience and let yourself find the more simple path.

Imagine this: You're on a rowing boat, facing upstream, fighting against the current, thinking, “If I just paddle harder, I’ll get somewhere!” But there’s one caviat; all rivers flow downstream. Upstream padding is not what is needed most. Setting the paddle down and letting the current take you is easier.

But, if it was that easy, everyone would be doing it. Haha

Your brain was conditioned early on to earn, earn, earn, work, work, work. To ‘do hard things’ as they say like it’s a badge of honor.

I agree that we don’t expand unless we are challenged. But sometime we get locked up doing “hard things” and we don’t learn what we needed to learn and we get stuck in the massive (and exhausting) loop of “doing hard things.”

When you flip the script and asking yourself, “Why am I so tired? What is the cause of this energy leak that feels like neverending exhaustion day after day?

Your exhaustion is just a habit. It’s the mental habit of thinking your worth lies in your ability to show everyone how hard you try to show up for their sake.

The easier path is always showing up for your sake and then you don’t have to overcome the need to be enough for anyone else. You ARE enough!

Ditch the heavy lifting and hop in the downstream current of life—you’ll get to where you need to go, even if living in line with the easy and joy of downstream energy seems too easy and a little unnerving…you’ll get used to it eventually. *wink*
