info_outlineWelcome to episode 9 of The Rest is Plastics, in this episode we interviewed the authors of this paper from the April edition of the journal - Functional outcomes of dual nerve transfer in patients with facial paralysis. We interviewed Dr Rami Ezzibdeh who is first author and an ENT resident at Stanford University, and senior author Dr Jon-Paul Pepper.
Dr. Pepper is a double-board certified surgeon who specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, in particular surgery facial paralysis. He has directed the clinical activities at the Stanford Facial Nerve Center since 2017. He also directs the scientific work of the Stanford Facial Nerve Center, and his NIH-funded research seeks new strategies to improve nerve regeneration after injury. His clinical practice focuses on facial reanimation, aging face surgery, rhinoplasty, and reconstruction after Mohs surgery.
