We help parents, teachers, and courageous grown-ups launch and facilitate a free public speaking course for children age 12-18. This educational program makes it fun for children and young adults to speak in a group. They love it! The lessons are designed to be one-hour long and are focused on the kids. As a matter of fact, visitors are only welcome at the Family Meeting to celebrate success! We offer a podcast, a blog, and helpful tips for each six-week session. This first episode introduces the 3-year old program Adventures in Public Speaking for Kids.
info_outlineIn this first episode, the group facilitator Sharon introduces parent Kathy who reveals how the public speaking program has benefited her girls age 10 and 14.
Sharon explains the logistics and set up of a typical meeting and how they use short prepared speeches, games, impromptu speaking, and feedback to guide the children.
They talk about a creative and very unique activity to encourage better eye contact.
Sharon also explains the different roles the kids take on in a meeting and how the group is focused on a stress-free environment by having only participants in the hour-long bi-weekly meetings.
