In this unforgettable episode, Carl sits down with Dr. William J. Boss, a pastor and educator who was shot point-blank in the head while praying at the altar of his own church, and miraculously lived to tell the story.

 

What followed was not chaos, but faith in motion.

Bleeding, disoriented, and moments from death, Dr. Boss embarked on what he calls “The Death Walk”—a staggering journey through his church, praying aloud and pleading with God for his life. Doctors later declared survival nearly impossible. If he lived, they said, he would never be the same.

 

Three days later, he walked out of the hospital.

Still carrying the bullet in his brain, Pastor Boss shares the spiritual, emotional, and physical aftermath of that moment and how forgiveness replaced anger, how faith overcame fear, and how trauma became the foundation for a deeper calling and the inspiration for his incredibly moving book, While on Bended Knees.
