As a teenager and part of a Toronto-based music group the "Voyageurs", I was fortunate to play at some iconic venues including Massey Hall, the Grand Ole Opry (Ryman), and others. In 1967, I put the guitar away to continue my education. This eventually led to a career in market research and advertising, and building my business. Its a short one at only three and a half minutes long, but since Sound Threads is unique from other shows, I thought it required an introduction. The music industry of today is dramatically different from the one I left 'back in the day'. That changeover is fascinating, and the subject of some of my shows later on the Sound Threads series.
