In this episode of our new series, Caregivers One-on-One, we are joined by writer, advocate, ambassador, influencer, and caregiver, Jacquelyn Revere. We do a deep dive into Jacquelyn’s caregiving journey with her mom, the impact its had on her life, life after caregiving, and how to cope with the grief both during and after the caregiving journey. We were so lucky to speak with Jacquelyn and we hope you love this episode as much as we do.

Jacquelyn became the sole caregiver for her mother (Lynn) and grandmother (Joyce) in 2016 after a faulty furnace leaked carbon monoxide into her family home, causing both to develop dementia. She began documenting her journey on Youtube and Tiktok under the handle @MomOfMyMom amassing over 900k supporters through her vulnerable storytelling. She has since been praised by Teepa Snow for her devotion to implementing fun and creating joy around the task of caregiving.

Jacquelyn has since written an Op-Ed for the La Times, NPR and is currently writing a book on the emotional journey of the dementia Caregiver. As a TV writer she hopes to bring more nuance to care stories on screen.
