Dave is a portfolio GP working predominantly as a partner in Eaglescliffe Medical Practice, Stockton. He also works as an Associate Director of Medical Education with Hull York Medical School (HYMS). He has a small but growing YouTube channel, GP Templates, which covers three broad areas of GP Training, SystmOne optimisation and GP Lifestyle. Dave is the clinical lead for Information Technology within his practice and is about to take on the role as Clinical Digital lead within the local GP Federation, Hartlepool and Stockton Health (H&SH).
Dave loves to explore the role of social media within the primary care space to see if this can be utilised to improve patient care. Dave has served for 11 years in the Army and uses this knowledge to be the Veterans' lead for the practice. When not tapping away on a keyboard, Dave loves to spend as much time outside with his three children, wife and running with his dog. When there is chance, Dave will escape to the loft to play with his train set that is definitely 'for the children'.
