Shannon is a nurse practitioner who has dealt with loss in her own life. She didn’t realize that grief needed to be faced and processed and through a series of events and personal discoveries, she started on a personal journey which had her face her own unknown demons. She shares her journey with the readers in her chapter in The Essence of a Woman and uses what she has learned with her own patients in her private practice at Roper Health Oasis in New Mexico. 

 

In this session we will discuss:

1.   You are a nurse practitioner in private practice. What does that look like for you and why did you decide to focus on the holistic, functional approach in your practice?

2.   What inspired you to participate in the book The Essence of a Woman  and can you tell us a little about your chapter and what you hope the readers will gain from this? I know you were recently married – does how you met your husband have anything to do with your chapter?

3.   You talk about worry. Was worry a part of your life? Is it still? If not, what changed…or how did you release it? What can you share with our listeners to help them release worry?

4.   You mention FEAR NOT – can you elaborate on how you discovered this and where your source of wisdom comes from?

5.   What can you tell woman about the art of pleasing, the power of control, and the tenacity of trauma…as it relates to one’s health?

6.   How do you take what you have learned in your personal journey and use it to help your patients? What tips can you give people listening to help them deal with their own pain, past trauma, or health issues?
