Bible Tea with Roslyn Hernández

Release Date: 08/23/2024

My friend Alma Cardenas Rodriguez and I dive into the story of Esther—one of the Bible’s most powerful and courageous women. But we're not just talking about her bravery. We're unpacking how Esther's story has been used to teach purity culture and what that means for us today.

Alma Cardenas Rodriguez is a Mexico Estadounidense born, raised, and living in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles CA. Alma is the daughter of Teresa and Alberto who migrated from the Sierras in the Durango and Jalisco Mexico states. She comes from a lineage of stubborn, resistant, creative, and intuitive women, and from corn and bean cultivators, and beekeepers. She is a mother, wife, mentor, poet, and published author passionate about creating spaces where women and Young Adults of color can tap into the well of stories and powerful voices they carry within through journaling and sensory practices for healing and collective well-being.
