Carving Out a Referral Facelift Practice

Specifically, this week’s episode of “Beauty and the Biz” highlights Carving out a Referral Facelift Practice with Dr. Raymond Lee. Additionally, he is a facial plastic surgeon in ultra-competitive Newport Beach. Furthermore, he explains how he built one of the most efficient and referral-driven facelift practices in Southern California.

Initially, Dr. Lee did not start with industry connections, a known brand or an established patient base. Instead, he was told it would be “impossible” for a facial plastic surgeon to stand out in such a saturated region. Nevertheless, he went on to:

  • Ultimately perform more than 3,000 facelifts using local or IV sedation
  • Gradually sublease a single room, then expand into three full suites and eventually his own ASC
  • Consistently build a loyal team that stays with him for four to six years or more
  • Successfully create a recognizable brand (“Faceology MD”) and secure both the trademark and the domain
  • Primarily grow through word-of-mouth referrals and surgical excellence rather than paid ads

Next, here is some of what we covered in Carving out a Referral Facelift Practice:

  • First, he discusses his unconventional start at Lifestyle Lift and how it shaped his speed, volume and technique
  • Second, he explains how he used subleasing to enter Newport Beach at a manageable cost
  • Third, he shares his key lessons in hiring, delegation and retaining long-term staff
  • Finally, he outlines why he prefers IV sedation for facelifts and how that choice improves patient satisfaction

Consequently, if you want a practical blueprint for succeeding in a crowded market, this episode delivers. Moreover, it shows how to grow without discounts, gimmicks or hype. Ultimately, it is especially useful if you are expanding, hiring or building a lasting brand.

Therefore, don’t miss Dr. Lee’s insights in Carving out a Referral Facelift Practice

"The fastest way to success is to model other successful surgeons who have what you want, but you can only see their results, not the path they took to get there.

So, you continue to jump from one thing to another, hoping to find something that will work for you too, but it rarely does. So, try this shortcut instead. It’s guaranteed to move you forward. I compiled my intellectual property to grow cosmetic revenues, everything I’ve gleaned over the years into one playbook of the most successful practices and what they do to win.
