Dr. Krapf walks us through the two main culprits of clitoral pain: structural issues like adhesions and nerve-related drama. She explains why some people can’t stand the seam of their jeans brushing “down there,” why others can’t find their clitoris anymore, and how keratin pearls (yes, pearls) might be the villains causing sand-in-your-eye-level discomfort.

She is a co-author of the book When Sex Hurts: Understanding and Healing Pelvic Pain. Dr. Krapf is active in research and has published chapters and peer-reviewed articles on vulvodynia and vulvar lichen sclerosus.
She is Associate Editor for the textbook Female Sexual Pain Disorders, 2nd Edition.
