George currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Allegiance Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ:ABTX) and Vice Chair of Allegiance Bank, which he co-founded in 2007. In 1974 he co-founded Sterling Bank, where he served as Chief Executive Officer from 1980 to 2001 and retired as Chairman Emeritus in 2005.
