Yes! This needs to be said very blunt. Too many of us are living life in the "I'm right, you're wrong" world.
I understand the desire to want to be right. But ask yourself this tough question, how is it serving you?
Are you really getting what you want by always being right?
You know you are not! You're probably more wrong than you are right. Welcome to the REAL world.
What happens is that we build up walls and that becomes our focus. We play defensive and let the heart of our loved one slowly be broken.
Sometimes we do it not meaning to. Other times we jab, twist, and turn to make the pain even greater.
The person suffering more is you!
When you choose to be assertive, advocating only for you; your thoughts, your values, YOUR way, you are telling your partner --- You DON'T matter! You're worthless!!
But the underlying whisper of truth is where you are hurting yourself more. You shut out the one who wants to do life with you only TO. BE. RIGHT.

You're gonna make mistakes. You're not going to do everything right. That sounds harsh. But it's reality.

This is what Jesus shows us. He didn't come and walk this earth to die for our sins of His choosing. He died for ALL sins. ALL mistakes.
Jesus is happy to say, "It's my fault." He gives grace and unconditional love.
