Enter the concept of “Story Sequences.” Instead of approaching your social media stories one at a time, this strategy allows you to create a series of three interconnected stories designed to captivate your audience. 

Today, on the Limitless Podcast, Jamie Ratermann, will dive deep into the power of Story Sequences and provide you with practical examples for each of its three essential components: Instagram story hook, value, and Call to Action (CTA).

Section 1: Mastering the Instagram Story Hook

The first key element of a compelling Story Sequence is the "Hook." This is where you grab your audience's attention and pique their interest, enticing them to keep watching. Here are some effective ways to create engaging hooks:

1. Best Way: Engage with a poll, sliding scale, or quiz.

  • Pose a thought-provoking question that encourages participation.

  • Keep it simple to ensure maximum engagement.

2. Easy, Behind The Scenes Approach:

  • Invite your audience to follow along with you in real-time.

  • Offer a glimpse into your daily life or activities.

3. Business-oriented:

  • Prompt your viewers to self-assess or rate themselves on a relevant topic.

  • Create a connection between your content and your audience's interests.

4. DM and Testimonial Crops:

  • Save direct message conversations and testimonials.

  • Seek permission to share these interactions, respecting privacy when necessary.

  • Combine polls with these stories to gauge audience interest and participation.

Section 2: Delivering Value

Once you've hooked your audience, it's essential to deliver value. Value-driven stories provide substance and purpose to your content. Here are some strategies for crafting value-driven stories:

1. TTC Storytelling:

  • Share practical how-to tips related to your hook.

  • Provide the backstory behind a successful client experience.

  • Share a personal anecdote or story that resonates with your audience.

  • Offer motivational pep talks to address common challenges or limiting beliefs.

2. Text Post:

  • Encourage viewers to tap and hold for more content.

The final component of a Story Sequence is the Call to Action (CTA). After providing value, guide your audience on what action to take next. Here are effective CTA strategies:

1. Graphic Slide with a Link or DM Prompt:

  • Include a visually appealing graphic with a clickable link.

  • Direct viewers to send you a direct message for further engagement.

2. TTC Direction with a Request to DM:

  • Use a “talk-to-camera” approach to directly address your audience.

  • Encourage them to reach out via direct message for questions or discussions.

3. Question Box Slide:

  • Create a slide dedicated to viewer questions.

  • Encourage your audience to ask anything related to your previous stories.

Incorporate the 3+-story approach into your daily social media posting strategy.
