This week, I'm going to be talking about finding your writing voice. This is something that's deeply fascinated me as a professional writer for over 20 years, how does that voice change as we progress and grow as humans? Also, how the skills that we need and the way we need to express ourselves change as our own businesses or the work that we do changes too. That's certainly been the case for me. About Lou:
“You are the architect of your life experiences, and it shows in the story you tell.” Lou believes that our story is the heart of how we experience the world, how we grow and how we may bring value to others.
But let’s reel back a few years. When she turned 50, grieving and empty-nesting, she started
drawing and painting again & out popped this character part-girl, part-ninja who became known as Brave New Girl. BNG turned into a book How to be Fearless, then another book FEAR LESS, and now Lou interviews real-life Brave New Girls for her podcast Brave New Girl. Not satisfied with giving women a platform for their stories 52 weeks a year she founded Silk Studios – The Podcast Guest Agency, so that she could help more women get out there on multiple podcasts to share their story, mission and message globally.
Her own story has been a winding road, overcoming trauma, grief and PTSD to understanding her passion and purpose, (her art and her agency) and now to her latest book Dare to Share, helping people to understand the power of their own stories, and using them to grow their brand and positively impact the world, is published in autumn 2021.
Lou is an artist, author, podcaster & founder of Silk Studios – The Podcast Guest Agency.
