Your Body Is Not The Problem

Are you falling into the Menstrual Cycle Box?  You might be if you get mad at your body for not having energy when you're ovulating and or using your luteal phase as an 'excuse' for being grumpy etc. Don't get me wrong, I think it's VITAL to understand your cycle and to use it as a tool to listen to your body and decipher it's messages and I think that sometimes we get stuck in this box that leaves us feeling more frustrated or mad at our bodies than is warranted! Would love to hear what you think of today's episode! Please feel free to DM me on Instagram @_leahtang

Fact: Basing Your Worth on Your Size is BS show art Fact: Basing Your Worth on Your Size is BS

Your Body Is Not The Problem

Graeme and I were shopping for a tshirt a few weeks ago and I went in wearing a shirt that was an XL and tried on a shirt that was XXS. When we base our worth on our size we can realize how silly of a metric that is when it's capable of changing within one minute without our body changing. AND EVEN IF OUR BODY DID CHANGE, YOUR BODY IS STILL NOT THE PROBLEM!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear what you think of today's episode! Your body is not the problem.

More Episodes

Children can start being aware of their body as young as three years old. Most of us can remember comparing our bodies and feeling insecure as young as ten years old. Body Happy Organization works to help children and young people celebrate, respect and accept all bodies - especially their own. Molly and her team work to stop poor body image from ever starting in the first place!

This episode is for anyone and everyone who has younger humans in their life. We all play a role (alongside society, social media, tv, etc.) in the body image of those around us. Molly shares realistic and doable mindset shifts and actions we can take as the adult to support the younger humans around us.

Today we chat about:

  • What a parent should do if their child comes to them saying that they want to be healthy or go on a diet
  • How social media imacts the body image of younger humans
  • How to approach family members who make comments on your childrens body (even if they're positive/well-intentioned)
  • How to know what is the right amount of exercise and how to help them fuel without it being diety

And so much more!

Molly has released two amazing books!

For the Parents - Body Happy Kids

For Children 9+ - Every Body
