info_outlineWelcome back to week 1 term 2 2024 and today I have Rory Johanson who is leading this terms DATTA teach meet. So if you are in the position that I think most of us are changes are happening and those changes are all around the move from version 8.4 to version 9 of the technologies syllabus which is why we have called this teach meet to be held on May the 15th from 4.30 to 6.00pm Sharing good practice in 2024 looking at the ACARA version 9 syllabus for technologies. So how about we get Rory in to let us know all about it. And just because this is the last time I will be able to say it, this show was recorded at 2am because I got the time difference wrong, on West 123st which is right in the middle of Harlem and on the third floor of a real life brownstone building.
And remember the 2024 Teacher Excellence Awards are looking for nominations right now so look to your left and look to your right. Because you may be sitting right next to someone who deserves to be applauded. There are two awards the Design and Technology teacher of the year and the contribution to design and technology education award for that person who is not a teacher but still does great things for our teaching area.
I can’t wait to see you on the 15th of May. Now if you would like to come along, just go to the DATTA website and to the drop down that says PD and that will take you to the Teach Meet page.
