You have to know how to phrase the questions you ask “God” (your angels, spirit guides, the gods, the universe —however you want to address the divine). Imagine for a moment you had a telephone directly to the most intelligent minds in creation, omniscient and helpful: why would you say something as stupid as “just tell me anything,” or “win the lottery for me so I don’t have to think or take responsibility for anything.”
