Queerifier
I am doing something a little strange on the podcast for this episode. We are currently less than a week away from the first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 dropping, and with this being the final season of Stranger Things, I wanted to share my top five theories and predictions regarding what I expect to see. While I don't want to spoil everything here, I will just say that I expect a certain ship to be endgame (and it's not Mike and El) as well as for a certain someone (someone who is wise) to develop or tap into latent powers. I am so excited for this final season and can't wait to see...

Listen in on this freaky Friday as I discuss the 2020 horror-comedy slasher Freaky, starring Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn (in probably just about the only movie I've seen him in that I like him in). Betweeen the smart, hilarious script and the creative, gory kills, Freaky is truly such a fun movie! I wiuld love to hear your thoughts on Freaky, so please feel free to reach out! (With your permission, I'll even share your thoughts on the podcast!) Stay tuned for what's next, but in the meantime, please be sure to subscribe to the podcast so that you never miss a new episode! Just in time for its Valentine's Day premiere on Screambox, I am covering the 2024 smash box office hit Terrifier 3, featuring, of course, my all-time favorite horror villain Art the Clown! I discuss what I love about this movie (as well as some things that I wish had been handled differently) and discuss how it stacks up to Terrifier 2 for me. Next up, I will be talking about the 2020 horror/comedy Freaky, starring Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton! Until then, please feel free to reach out with your thoughts, and be sure to subscribe to the podcast so that you never miss a new episode! Links...

You had better watch out because this movie ends up being a wild ride that takes so many left turns and even tricks you into initially thinking that it's a different movie than it actually is. Join me this episode as I discuss one of my favorite Christmas horror films, 2016's Better Watch Out! With this being a holiday film, I had hoped to put this (as well as the next) episode out in December, but life always finds a way of getting busy and creating obstacles, so alas, these couple of episodes are either a late holiday gift or an early one. You decide! Speaking of the next episode, I will be...

What do they do in the shadows? Do we want to know? Debatable. Join me for this episode as I discuss the 2014 mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows which would later develop into the FX mockumentary TV series of the same name. Can this movie be queerified? Oh, boy, can it ever. Next up is the Christmas horror film Better Watch Out! Please feel free to reach out as I I would love to hear from you - what you think of the podcast, suggestions as to what I should cover in the future, thoughts about any movie that I have covered so far and/or next episode's movie, etc.! I couldn't do a podcast like this without covering Sleepaway Camp. No, I am afraid that that wouldn't do it all, so I am indeed covering one of my favorite horror films of all time in this episode. Wasn't that nice of me?! Listen in as I discuss what I love so much about this movie and what I feel makes it stand out from many other '80s slashers, including the creative kills and great performances by the likes of Felissa Rose and Desiree Gould - as well as, of course, the controversial and shocking twist ending! Join me next time as I cover What We Do in the Shadows (the 2014 movie). Please...

Welcome to Queerifier, the show where I, your host Christopher, choose a piece of horror media for each episode and discuss it via, whenever possible, a queer and/or feminist lens. I would love to hear your thoughts about this movie and/or Terrifier 2, which will be discussed in the next episode!
