info_outlineToday we are sharing our first episode of 2023. We chat about health, personal challenges, changes in 2023, and we loop it into recognizing and celebrating our Canadian World Juniors team that recently won the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championships.
In this episode we dive into:
1) Health, Marsha’s health and weird things as a redhead and a lifetime of challenges with her health and how her body responds to allergies and infections. We work so hard to feel good, and then when we are sick we say we will feel so grateful when we feel better and then when we do, we forget what it feels like to not feel good. It’s important to appreciate and not take our health for granted.
2) Health goals and priorities as we move into the new year, and the consistency of strength and resistance training especially for women as we continue to age and lose muscle so easily. They also talked about the benefits of an infrared sauna and how speaking your vision to life can make things happen. Speak all your visions to life, and know that most people won’t see it until you keep speaking it into life.
3) As we are in a new year, be willing to turn the page and stop rereading and repeating the same pages over and over again. Put the old book, with your old identity on the shelf and start a new book. Those lessons you learned are already in your body and embedded in your cells, you don’t need to re-read them any longer.
4) The Malcolm Gladwell quote of 10,000 hours and how the world junior hockey players are a great example of the 10,000 hours in order to craft their skills. This is exactly the same rule that applies to all of us in our lives as we continue to pivot and shift and change our identities. Every time we start a new role, a new identity, we still need to accumulate 10,000 hours to fully become our new identity.
