The clash in Minneapolis came on the heels of a raid in San Diego in which Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Homeland Security Investigations agents shot flash-bang grenades at an angry crowd. You can read more about the response to the federal raid in Minneapolis here.

Many ICE operations have obviously been calculated to be as brutal as possible, targeting documented as well as undocumented people with the intention of terrorizing the general public. This gratuitous cruelty is fundamental to Donald Trump’s governing strategy, as explained here.
