Here we are five years later and Wild Kid Acres is an international model for sustainability and Gerardo now sits as the Goodwill Ambassador for Regenerative Agriculture at the United Nations! To say this little farm has come a long way is a gross underestimate.
We spoke with Gerardo back in 2022 and wanted to catch up and see what was new. Farm visits continue, but has expanded to include a huge educational element. Gone is the cinder block shed, replaced with a 10,000 SF barn built by a small Army (err I mean Navy) of volunteers. The present is busy, and the future looks bright as Gerardo takes his ideas around thye globe to demonstrate how farms will sustain us in so many ways--with nourishment to community!
And to celebrate their success, they are hosting a 5-YEar Anniversary Celebration on October 4th!
