Confident Grace

Better late then never. This podcast is a bit delayed from my original plan. Stepping into new life stages or events can be tricky to navigate. But its extra difficult if we don't purposefully make room for what's new, we can't usher in newness by trying to fit it into the old or previous stage.  Thinking ahead or shifting our mindset in these four areas can help us avoid frustration and disappointment in the new.  1.  Relationships 2. Time 3. Decision Making 4.  Space Join me as I share some things I've learned about making room for the new!

Confident Grace

If at first you don’t succeed try, try again…  We’ve all heard it, but how do we practically deal with failure? What does it even mean to fail or to succeed?  Why do we struggle to ‘try again’ for ourselves or for our kids? I don’t claim to have it all figured out, but I can share what I’ve learned in my 50+ years of life…and… just this week! I think it’s fear keeps us from trying again…fear of the cost that failure can bring - failure costs time, emotion & money.  Failure hurts our pride, ouch! Confident Grace

There are many educational methods out there, but the classical model and the trivium can teach us something about battling the frustration of ‘newness.’ Frustration can often cast a shadow when we are experiencing or learning something new, it can lead our mind toward ungracious thinking. Why is it so hard? It’s taking too long. Is this really worth it? I give up! Join me as I tackle each question with three examples of newness, new mom, new homeschooler or new job.  Ultimately, we can’t skip the grammar phase. Thank you for joining me. Confident Grace

Am I really qualified? What's this going to look like? What if I fail? Sometimes these questions can destroy our confidence and stop us from embracing the new.  In this episode, I take us through each of these in order to help us have grace...

If at first you don’t succeed try, try again…

We’ve all heard it, but how do we practically deal with failure? What does it even mean to fail or to succeed?  Why do we struggle to ‘try again’ for ourselves or for our kids? I don’t claim to have it all figured out, but I can share what I’ve learned in my 50+ years of life…and… just this week!

I think it’s fear keeps us from trying again…fear of the cost that failure can bring - failure costs time, emotion & money.  Failure hurts our pride, ouch!

Walk through the three mindsets I’ve learned to apply:

  1.  Nothing is wasted
  2. Forward Motion
  3. We aren’t always ready

These may not come naturally, but if we can think them through in the midst of “failure“ we can evaluate, adjust and try, try again.

Thank you for joining me.
