info_outlineWe’re talking about crossing the Perrysburg-Maumee Bridge today. Patrick Burtch, City of Maumee Administrator is my guest.
Many Perrysburg residents feel frustrated with the new traffic pattern where the bridge meets historic, uptown Maumee. This episode provides some history for prospective and new Perrysburg, OH residents who are unaware of the recent changes. Current Perrysburg residents will also enjoy our conversation.
In this episode, my goal was to learn:
- Why did historic, uptown Maumee change their traffic pattern?
- Did they accomplish their goal?
- Best practices for driving through historic, Uptown Maumee and accessing businesses during busy times.
By talking to Patrick, I got a lot of answers. I still don’t like sitting in traffic. But now, I understand Maumee's reasons for the change and a few things I can do to avoid long waits.
Special thanks to Patrick Burtch for the interview and Nancy Gagnet for the Maumee image in the episode artwork. Thank you Rhonda Pees (ODOT) for the ODOT links.
