Kim Miner is Chief of Staff & Chief Legal Officer for Boston Unity Soccer Club, the group that is bringing the newest National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club to Boston in 2026.
Before joining the organization in November 2023, Miner previously served as Executive Vice President/General Counsel for the Worcester Red Sox (formerly Pawtucket Red Sox). Responsible for all aspects of the club's legal operations, the Harvard Law School graduate was a key partner to Chairman Larry Lucchino in negotiations to build a new ballpark for the club, Polar Park in Worcester, Massachusetts. She was an active participant in the decision to design and build a new downtown ballpark in Worcester and was intimately involved in all aspects of the project, including the financing terms and 35-year lease. In addition to providing legal expertise and advice on the ballpark development process, sponsorships, event contracts, employment law, intellectual property law, and governmental affairs, as EVP and a member of the senior executive team, Miner was involved in all strategic business decisions for the club. Prior to joining the WooSox (then PawSox) in 2016, Miner was a member of the corporate practice group at the Boston office of WilmerHale, a leading international law firm. While playing varsity softball at Tufts University, from which she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in economics, the right-handed pitcher began her professional baseball career in the front office of the Boston Red Sox, for whom she was instrumental in creating the 100th Anniversary celebration of Fenway Park. Miner served as a Fenway Ambassador in the fan services department, for which she even served as an on-field "ball girl" during games, before advancing to the club's business development, ballpark planning, and legal departments. Miner previously interned with The BASE and the Creative Artists Agency, among others.
Miner is also a member of the board of directors of You Can Play, has been a youth mentor and "Big Sister" in both Pawtucket, RI and Worcester, MA, and volunteers for the Quincy Animal Shelter.
