info_outline "Put the Paint Down" with KayKovey | The Underground Ep. #4The Underground
UV and ghostabelar talk with Kay Kovey, a musician and producer with a solid sense of her identity and a firm grasp of her process. We ask her about songwriting and producing for herself vs. with type beats. Find out why you might hear her collab with James Fauntleroy, but not Rihanna one day. We check out a day-old beat that's still very fresh. It's episode 4!

info_outlineIt's nice to be back!
Not only is GC fully back to doing the things we do, but we can now present our best episode so far. We met with Chance, aka COMBAT//MOMMY in October 2020, to talk about her instrumental jazz/hip hop/electronic music filled with subtext that we get into on this pod.
It was near the 2020 election, so we make some predictions and discuss the motives behind factions of BLM and the fair-weather supporters who left the orgs and the people behind after CHOP.
Listen for Chance's ability to change scope at the appropriate times, from the personal to the political.
You'll get to look back at 2020 and think, "were we ever so young?"
For once, one of UV's 7 Hard-Hitting Questions gets turned on him by our guest.
