Dr.Chelsea Rochman couldn't stand seeing another plastic trash stuck in turtles anymore. So, she persisted as a graduate student and helped create the study of plastic debris and its impact on marine life, back when people didn't know that one day, we may see more plastic trash in the ocean than fish. In addition to her research on how pervasive plastic microfibers (think clothes) are in the environment, she spearheaded and established the University of Toronto Trash Team to do more than study trash.
