The HC88 Podcast
In 1988, Holy Cross had 47 African-American students out of 2,500, and football players Byron Dixon, Ian Dowe, Lee Hull and David Jones were among them. John Krasnick, their white teammate and roommate, was part of that tight group. In the wake of George Floyd’s killing that has jolted our nation into a serious reckoning with centuries of anti-Black racism, the five got together to talk about what it was like to be Black - and hang out with Black students - at Holy Cross some 30 years ago. This is their illuminating conversation.
