Welcome to Episode 212! What's up, Everybody? Dan here. I know I say this a lot, but we truly go all over the place on this episode. We've been gone for a minute so we wanted to give you a long one this time and we do. This episode clocks in at 3 hours long. We do take some time to finally talk about "Sinners" and we give our full review. But aside from that, get ready to pinball through this one in a good way. Here's some of what we're talking about this time: Titos and a foot to the face “Secret gigs” - Dan’s r/AmIOvereacting segment New Superman trailer and box office...

Welcome to Episode 210! We'd like to dedicate this episode of Heroes of Noise to one of our OG listeners. Some of you may remember Mick Conroy, aka The Big MC from back in the early days of HON. He was a great guy, a contributer to the show, and we were sad to learn of his passing last week. We start the show off this week paying tribute to the man. R.I.P. Mick. Here's a sneak peak at the rest of what we're talking about on this episode: Doechii Steve’s Kendrick Take The Superbowl "Thunderbolts", "Superman", and "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" trailer thoughts Damn it, Ye… Dan...

Welcome to Episode 209! It took a couple of extra weeks to return as Dan had a bad case of the flu but we're happy to be back in your ears again. In our attempt to do things differently for 2025 we once again livestreamed the show and this is what you're listening to. We hadn't announced we were doing so but we'll be sure to next time. We honestly didn't even know if was going to work as we're still figuring it all out. It does change the sound a bit, but truth be told like...2 of you will give a crap about that. The live audio (sound effects, etc) have some issues at times (Dan needs a...

Happy New Year and welcome to Episode 208! This is our first official episode since coming back on a regular basis, which as of now will be biweekly going forward. As you'll hear we're also playing with the aspects of video and will be doing more with that platform as we move through 2025. It's an experiment we want to try. However, experiments can have varying results and you may hear some of that today. For our first episode this year we decided to livestream. This time it was on our private Facebook group, the Heroes of Noise Podcast Community (which you should join if you haven't already),...

Hey everyone! Dan here. Ya boys are back with a quick pop in to drop a little news on you. This one will sound a little different because I'm an idiot and can't work my own equipment after 7 months of not recording, but at least Steve had his shit together. 😂 But don't fret because the message we have for you is still there. This one was never intended to be a full episode. It's more of an announcement. You just have to wait until the end to get there as we are literally catching up with each other after quite some time. So that's it. Just listen. We hope you all have happy holidays!...

Welcome to Episode 207! It’s been 6 months since we last fired up the HON machine. We’ll call this a full episode, but you can think of this one as more of a check-in; A sort’ve warm up, if you will. This one is for you to have in your ears so you can feel like you’re in the room with us just shooting the shit like the old days. You won’t get any reviews on this episode (real ones anyway). This will be more like when Grandpa used to get his badass classic car and take it out for a drive on Sunday. Basically we’re just burning some carbon off. We both have been itching...

Yo! Dan Here. Welcome to Episode 206! This episode was supposed to be out a week ago. But audio issues made this one almost unlistenable so a little time and TLC brought it back from the dead. Full disclosure I was just too damn busy last week to get this out on time so pardon the tardiness. Now... come with us into the past as we take you back over a weeeekkkk (Spooky fingers and ghost voice really help with that last part). Here's what we're talking about time around: The Sphere, U2, and where to go from here The Beatles "Now and Then" Thoughts Fom Steve Steve got the poop...

We had to come back with our review of Barbie being that his movie is absolutely crushing at the box office(As of this date the movie has made a Billion dollars at the Box Office taking only seventeen days to do it. Dan originally talked a lot of crap on this movie (it's not as bad as it reads). Does he feel the same after seeing it? All this and...well, pretty much all this awaits you on this special bonus episode of Heroes of Noise. Enjoy! 🤘🏽✊🏾

Welcome to Episode 205! We had to get back into your ears before the summer was out. Hope everyone has been enjoying themselves. This episode is about as HON as you can get: Loose with lots of laughs. Here's what we're talking about on this episode: Fancy Refrigerator / Fancy Food Fantastic 4 Casting Rumors "Fashion Tips with Bougene Hudson" “Scar Tissue” by Anthony Keidis The show then takes a hard right turn and we get on to the subject of our favorite duets of all time. This takes up literally half the show but we had fun doing it. After that it's a lightning round of...
info_outlineWelcome to Episode 146.
This is a special one, ladies and gentlemen. This week we were fortunate enough to be able to sit down with Martin MacPhail of the band Blitz//Berlin, who composed the original scores for movies like "Extraterrestrial", "It Stains The Sand Red", "Blade Runner 2036 "Nexus Dawn", "The Void", and most recently "P.G.: Psycho Goreman". Let's go back to a time when people sat in movie theaters. Remember that? Remember the feeling you got when you saw the trailer for Top Gun: Maverick? You know why you got that feeling? Because they did the fucking score for it. That's why.
Blitz//Berlin are the real deal. Recognize.
It was an absolute pleasure talking with Martin about music, movies, our mutual love for The Mars Volta, TMNT, and the amazing story of both hard work and chance that brought Blitz//Berlin to where they are today. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did recording it.
We want to thank Martin for taking the time to join us and hope to have him back on again sometime as we were nowhere near done with the conversation by the time he had to go.
We also want to thank Brian from Pop Culture Leftovers for joining us a s guest host this week. Be sure to subscribe to PCL, as they're one of the best podcasts out there.
Be sure to watch Psycho Goreman now on VOD and also buy the soundtrack in it's glorious vinyl form now on Wax Records
Lastly, we didn't stop recording when Martin left us. If you'd like to hear what else we recorded that day with Brian, you can join us on Patreon where you're guaranteed at least 2 bonus shows a month.
Enjoy!
