Gia Noortas BIO:
Gia (Gaukhar), originally from Kazakhstan, moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue her dream of becoming a filmmaker. In 2008 Gia founded The Los Angeles based film production company, Mount Helix Films developing and producing international film projects.
In 2013 Gia launched Hollywood Film Academy®, a Los Angeles based company with a subsidiary in Almaty, Kazakhstan specializing in the instruction of film production.
Gia Noortas and her international team's latest feature film My Husband's Wife (aka Tokal), produced and co directed by Gia, have concluded 9 weeks of wide theatrical release in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan gaining reputation of "the most talked about drama of the year. This film is now on major streaming platforms in North America, CIS, Mongolia. My Husband's Wife has been one of the front runners for the best foreign language category at the Golden Globe 2017. Gia has been nominated for a best female actress category at Kazakhstan's National Academy of Motion Pictures and Arts for her role in this picture.
Gia manages the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Los Angeles, bridging both cultural and business relations. This included the launch of Kazakhstan: Montage of Cinemas Film and Cultural Festival in Hollywood as well as Tengri: Montage of Cultures.
Gia Noortas is also a judge/expert representing Kazakhstan on The World's Best talent show (CBS).
