Dare to dream.  Why does Frankie do hard things?  It’s the view from the top and what you can learn about yourself in the process.  In 2015 Frankie was camping in Colorado and noticed that people were hiking on the Colorado Trail with lots of stuff on their backs.  Once Frankie got home, she researched and watched movies which led into two years of training including about 800 miles on the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin, then moved to the Colorado Trail in 2017.  Frankie lives and works in three different states.  How does she keep her routine?  Frankie plans...

Joannie is the GOAT (greatest of all time) of 29029 Everesting.  Joannie has completed 29029 Everesting nine times.  Each mountain has a different elevation profile, so the number of ascents changes from mountain to mountain.  Joannie has a present mindset during the 29029 events.  Joannie doesn’t climb with ear buds.  Joannie wants to hear the sounds of nature, hear the conversations around her and offer a helping hand when needed.  This event is about cheering each other on.  This is not a race, it’s a challenge, and that takes the competitive edge away.

“I wanted to be in the action, I didn’t have to win, it just seemed like more fun out there doing it than watching on the sidelines which is why I enter everything.  I don’t enter because I think that I’m good enough to win, I just love being part of the competition.” – Joannie Rich

Is Pickleball for old people?  NO!  Joannie states that the learning curve for pickleball is much shorter than tennis or golf.  The cost of entry is low, you can play in public areas and is inclusive for so many people, so it’s a bit easier to get into than other sports.  Joannie enjoys traveling around South Florida to play in amateur tournaments.  Last year Joannie and her partner played in the US Open of Pickleball in Naples, FL in the 3.0 division but lost in the finals.
