Ep 18. Mourning The Loss of Jewish Life and Culture On Tisha B'Av. Rabbi Buchwald's Commentary. Dr. Henry Abramson's Comments on Assimilation.

In this episode, we reflect upon the holy day of Tisha B'Av. We start with Rabbi Ephraim Buchwald's commentary examining the history of Jewish religious observance compared to our record when it comes to daily interactions in business and interpersonal relationships. We point out that in today's modern Jewish culture, many Jews compulsively observe their particular denomination's rituals yet fail to show basic human kindness and honesty towards children in the womb. We turn to Dean Henry Abramson's comments at the conclusion of his excellent course, Crash Course in Jewish History. Dr. Abramson relates that Jewish assimilation is destroying Jewish culture faster than Hitler could destroy us. We add that abortion is another significant way we are destroying ourselves. Next, we enumerate the reasons we mourn the loss of Jewish life and culture during the fast of Tisha B'Av, and ask that we include 2 million Jewish children lost to abortion in Israel since 1948, and the nearly 800,000 thousand Jewish children lost to abortion in America as well as the over 62 million children lost in America since 1973.
