Roar Rising

In this episode, I’m breaking down what it actually means to set your mind on the Spirit in Romans 8. Because I think a lot of believers feel this tension. We want to be spiritually minded, but we also have real responsibilities. Work, family, bills, decisions, pressure. And sometimes it can feel like choosing the Spirit means neglecting real life. I’m going to talk about why that’s not what Scripture is saying. Being spiritually minded isn’t escapism. It’s learning to live from obedience and trust in God while still showing up faithfully in what He’s already put in your hands....

Scripture operates on cause and effect, and that reality does not weaken God’s sovereignty. It reveals it. In this episode, I explore how God intentionally designed covenant to include choice, consequence, and responsibility. From sowing and reaping to obedience and endurance, the Bible consistently shows that what we choose produces real outcomes, both in this life and in eternity. This is not because God lacks control, but because His sovereignty includes granting humanity real agency within His plan. We will talk about why forgiveness does not remove earthly consequences, why obedience is...

135: The Bitterness of the Soul: Why God Is Not Afraid of Your Pain show art 135: The Bitterness of the Soul: Why God Is Not Afraid of Your Pain

Roar Rising

Scripture speaks often about the bitterness of the soul, yet modern Christianity rarely knows what to do with it. In Episode 135, I take you into the Word to show why bitterness of soul is not sinful, rebellious, or faithless but deeply biblical, honest, and often the very place where God meets His people. From Hannah, to Job, to David, we see a pattern: God does not reject the bitter soul; He invites it. I unpack what Scripture actually means when it speaks of bitterness, anguish, and deep distress, and why pouring out a bitter soul before the Lord is not complaining — it’s consecration....

134: Fervent Prayers: When God Is Not Responding to Your Hustle, but to Your Heart show art 134: Fervent Prayers: When God Is Not Responding to Your Hustle, but to Your Heart

Roar Rising

What if the reason God feels silent… isn’t because you’re not praying hard enough, but because He’s inviting you to stop striving? In this episode, I unpack what fervent prayer actually means — and why it has far less to do with intensity, volume, or emotional force than we’ve been taught. True fervency isn’t spiritual hustle. It’s submission. I talk about how real fervent prayer aligns us with God’s will rather than trying to bend His hand, and how that alignment often brings peace long before it brings answers. This kind of prayer doesn’t always change the situation right...

133: Clarity Content vs. Panic Content show art 133: Clarity Content vs. Panic Content

Roar Rising

I’m pulling back the curtain on something most creators don’t want to admit: A lot of the content we create isn’t from calling… It’s from panic. Panic that the algorithm will forget us. Panic that we’re “falling behind.” Panic that if we don’t post today, our whole platform will crumble. I call this “panic content.” It’s the kind of content that feels rushed, forced, and heavy. You hit publish, but your soul feels… drained. Today, I want to contrast that with what I call “clarity content.” Content that comes from: Knowing who you’re called to serve Knowing...

Roar Rising

I’m going to say something that might surprise you… There are absolutely times when you should NOT podcast. Yep. I said it. Everyone online is screaming, “Just start! Just hit record!” But here’s the truth: Your podcast is a communication tool — not a diary, not a megaphone, and not a dumping ground for unprocessed thoughts. If your story isn’t clear… If your message isn’t anchored… If you don’t know who you’re talking to or where you’re leading them… You can actually confuse your audience and dilute the very assignment God gave you. In this episode, I’m...

130: The New Way For Christian Writers to Sell Books show art 130: The New Way For Christian Writers to Sell Books

Roar Rising

Most Christian writers have been told that writing a book is a marketing strategy,  but that’s exactly why so many authors stay invisible and broke. In this episode, Heather breaks down the truth: A book is not a business. A book is a transformation container, and without a funnel, a platform, or a plan… it won’t sell. You’ll learn: Why writing a book first is backwards for most authors The one question your book MUST answer if you want it to sell Why authority comes from transformation, not storytelling The REAL reason podcast book tours work (and book signings don’t) ...

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything “right” and still not seeing the growth you know God promised… this episode is for you. In today’s conversation, I’m inviting you into the real tension faith-driven entrepreneurs face when the doors don’t open as fast as our obedience seems to deserve. We’re talking about the wrestle between divine timing and strategic stewardship, and how to know the difference. I share the deeper purpose behind God’s “waiting rooms,” why your anointing doesn’t always equal immediate appointing, and how spiritual maturity shapes the...

More Episodes

In this episode, I’m sharing what the Lord has been teaching me about faith, stewardship, and obedience, not just in our personal walk with God, but in the way we build what He has entrusted to us.

Because when God places a message on your life, it is not random. It is not small. It is not just “something you care about.” It is an assignment.

I believe this is especially true for Christian authors.

Many authors are trying to sell their books using traditional methods, and they often feel discouraged when it doesn't work. Book signings, Amazon bestseller strategies, endless posting on social media, and even podcast tours can leave you exhausted with little to show for it if you do not understand what actually drives book sales today.

In this episode, I walk you through the deeper issue beneath the frustration. Fear, hesitation, striving, and carrying the pressure alone. Then I show you the biblical foundation of sowing and reaping, and what it really looks like to be faithful with what God has entrusted to you, even when you are still building, still growing, and still becoming established.

This is not just about “marketing.” It is about obedience. It is about stewardship. It is about building with diligence and faith so the fruit of your message can multiply beyond you.

What do I do outside of this podcast?

I help Christian authors sell their books by building a simple funnel that positions their message with authority and creates automated, consistent book sales.
