TRUSTED by your teenager with Kristen Duke
You ready for a juicy story? I've got one for you, and it went beyond the standard 10 minute podcast style I prefer, (sorry, not sorry) it's worth it, I promise! I talk about teen punishments, conditional love, indulging, and how I grappled with the consequences and how I ultimately came to the decision. If you listen and feel you're ready for a 1 on 1 with me (details at the end), email me and we'll set it up for end of July or August, because group coaching doesn't start up until September, and many moms say they just want my undivided attention and help (without a group) so this is your...

Sometimes people get confused when I say the goal is to earn teens trust, so I'm elaborating a bit on that here, (and what it's NOT) as well as summarizing 5 of the biggest parenting blindspots. info_outlineI gave a talk at church on Sunday, and when I asked on Instagram stories if anyone wanted to hear, I got a 94% YES! The other 6% said they have no spiritual questions....
This is something I've thought about a lot personally, as well as for my children and dear friends who have struggled with questions of the spiritual nature, and so I was excited to collect my thoughts about the topic.
This pertains to parenting, because I strive to be spiritually strong for myself AND my kids, to be in tune to how I can best mother them, and guide them spiritually.
It stems from a talk: Seeking Answers to Spiritual Questions with my own thoughts weaved in.
For those not of my faith (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), we take turns sharing talks to the congregation, the last time I shared was a year and a half ago.
I LOVE the opportunity to do a deep dive, it truly boosts my spirituality, many hate the public speaking aspect of addressing a chapel full of 300!
