TheLex
OK. OK. I finally got around to putting together a new podcast. This one is about 90 minutes long. I forgot how much fun it is to do a little announcing between the tunes. So -- who knows? -- maybe I'll do some more in the near future.

info_outline February 2011 Archived ShowsTheLex
Even though I've been streaming my oldies show 24/7 for nearly a year now (at www.TheLex.us), I know there are a few folks out there still listening to the hour long shows I produced previously on the podcast webpage. In hopes of keeping these listeners happy, I am going to again try to put two or three 90 minute recordings of the stream feed on the podcast page each month.
info_outline TheLex -- ReloadedTheLex
After a two week hiatus, the streaming version of TheLex -- my continuously running rock & roll internet station -- is back up. Check it out at . And for those times when you are away from the internet, take along three hours of hits by downloading a sampling recorded directly off the internet station. If you have some songs you don't think are on my playlist, drop me a line with some suggestions at [email protected].

Hey, kids. I've been cobbling together a streaming version of TheLex: 24/7 of my favorite (and yours', I hope) tunes. Just click here to enjoy: I'm still fine tuning the "station", so, at times, it will be down. Drop me an email and let me know what you think -- [email protected]. Enjoy!
info_outline A Sample of an Automated LexTheLex
Hey, folks. I know its been quite a while since I published a new show. I guess I got a little distracted with life -- or something. Anyway, I recently started playing around with creating a full time, streaming oldies service. I've assembled an initial collection of over 2,100 of my favorite tunes -- 50s and 60s oldies, classic rock, ballads, and a fewer newer songs. I have a show running 24/7 on my desktop, but, I'm still working out the kinks in the automation and audio chains, and I haven't figured out exactly how to publish the stream. While I'm working...
info_outline Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 100 Songs -- Part 1TheLex
In 2004, Rolling Stone Magazine poled a select group of 172 musicians, critics and industry figures to compile the 500 greatest songs of all time. Not all of these songs were hit singles, and a high percentage were released in the 50s, 60s and 70s. I have collected the top 100 songs from this list, and in this program, songs 100-76 are played. The remaining 75 songs will be published in three upcoming programs. Enjoy!
info_outline Back to School HitsTheLex
Labor Day: The traditional end of summer; and the start of school. Those first few days and weeks of schools were always fun; old friends, new friends, football games; and, lots of great music. I worked my way through the 60s and came up with some great "Back to School" musical memories. Enjoy!

Starched shirts, skinny ties and lapels, and a stiff glass of mid-morning scotch! That's the profile of Don Draper -- mad man extraordinaire. Here's some music reminiscent of the times in which the characters from TV's best show -- "Mad Men" -- thrived. Light up a lucky and have a ball, gang!

Its still summer, and I'm still enjoying listening my favorite summer oldies. Here's another batch. I'm afraid the program runs more than an hour and a half, though. I just couldn't stop. Enjoy!!
