Life In Full
Hello everybody, today we've got Jake Bertelsen. Jake is probably the most intentional, most positive, most self motivated person I've ever met. I've got the great fortune to know Jake for almost exactly a year now and spending approximately 65 hours sitting face to face with him. Jake is a world class tattoo artist but he's got a story of grind, a story of grit, a very positive story of changing the way things are. Jake's has had a huge impact in the Whitefish community, is born and raised there,

Cal Arnold is a guy wanted to talk to for years now. I got to know I'm a few years back during winter archery league, and I then got to sit through a couple Aviation Ground Schools with him and he was always that guy that rolled in little bit late, hair frazzled, and flip flops. You’re like, “Dude, what does this guy do?” and you kind of wouldn't know. Then I shot with him again and winter archery league and it was kinda always implied that he was getting back from Hawaii or had been hiking the backco

The Life In Full podcast. These are stories of the quiet, confident, credible, humble, and approachable people, who for the most part, remain unknown. These are people who have a conscious intention in their own pursuits. I want to know their why, what equation in life built them, and unwind that common thread in these people who have that unidentifiable thing that makes them the outliers, while hearing about their lives lived in full.

Matt Clyde is a guy that if I was in the hunting industry, I would look up to. Matt’s not even in the hunting industry though. Matt is an absolute killer , I think maybe people in the industry do look up to him as an elite, I think if you were to whisper Matt’s name, everybody in the industry knows who he is. People may know him from killing the wolf on Randy Newberg’s show, probably 2012-13 ish. Matt’s hunting stories could probably go on for days, I’ll have to pass him off to Cody

Cody Rich. Cody's most famously known for his hunting podcast ,The Rich Outdoors, a very successful and really good podcast. I suggest if you are looking for some good hunting stories, head that direction. It’s good stuff and I listen almost daily if I can. Cody has a background in motocross, so we hit a chord when we met, so it was like that scene from Step Brothers, but he's also got a very interesting background in simulated military training that I had no clue about.

Koni Dole. He’s the MSU football player who ran onto the field a prosthetic leg. He’s the Home-Town hero of Huntley Project where him and his siblings were raised with that small town wherewithal that you get in small-town kids. I became really close buddies with Kong’s brother Kai and got to listen to stories of him growing up with Koni and getting into all the trouble they got into and the good times the've had. Kai would always speak of him, and light up with such endearment, that always left me hanging and I wanting to know more.
I had the opportunity to work out with Koni when he came to our gym there for a while. On the first day, he proceeded to mop the floor with me with a 345 lb deadlift. Mind you, he’s got one leg! It’s really not Koni’s one leg that makes him special. Koni and Kai are some of the happiest and most grateful people that I have ever met and we really get into where that comes from, as well as Koni's time spent with an organization called a NubAbility that instructs, inspires, and motivate kids who have either congenital or tragic amputations and really pushes that youth demographic to compete in mainstream sports.
Koni is an incredible human and I'd hope that everybody kind of has a chance to meet him someday. If if you ever get the opportunity to, I highly suggest you extend a hand and shake it and talk to him. He’d be happy to talk to you and he's one of those people that can light up anybody's day. He’s an incredible person, I really hope you guys enjoy this!
