Allyson is a ParaYogi and is studying currently for her Level 1 certification. She is a writer and author of two poetry books Come Into the World Like That and We’re Smaller Than We Think We Are. She has a M.A in English and an M.F.A in Creative Writing from the University of Texas, currently Allyson is teaching technical communications at Austin Community College. She serves as Coeditor of The Texas Poetry Calendar and director of Borderlands Texas Poetry review
