info_outlineJennifer Green is a Christian and an Enneagram teacher. She has spent years exploring her faith by removing the flawed lens she saw the world through and also learning how to teach the enneagram to Bible study groups, church staff, corporate settings, school staff, and more. She sees one way we can remove the old self, as described in Ephesians 4:22-24, is to identify the personality we have created.
When we discover our number on the enneagram, we can identify specific patterns of sin that keep us from Christ-likeness. The goal is to make room for the Holy Spirit in us to respond instead of us reacting to the world around us out of our personality.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
Romans 7:15
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7
