It's Casual Friday! Kyle Kulinski then joins as he reflects on Nancy Mace’s complex and intersectional relationship with the bathroom, Democrats’ willingness to capitulate to and embrace Trump’s fascist scapegoating of trans people and immigrants, and the importance of actually acknowledging your constituents’ issues in winning elections. Kyle and Emma also tackle the absurd narrative about Trump and the GOP’s right-wing populism, parsing particularly through the facade of Trump’s anti-war persona before touching on the pseudo-populism of RFK’s relationship with Big Pharma. Wrapping up, they unpack the state of “independent” media, the growing embrace of far-right lunacy as long as it comes with a billionaire’s backing, and the need for the Democratic party to look left for success.

And in the Fun Half: Emma unpacks the tension around the humanitarian crisis in the US-backed Al-Hol detention center in Syria with Owen from LA, The Letterhack previews his show with Ronald Raygun tonight, and Juliet from Portland gives Emma a lesson in AGP.
