BIO:
Anna Kaiser is a celebrity fitness professional, choreographer, and entrepreneur. She is the founder & CEO of Anna Kaiser Studios, which has locations in New York, Hamptons, and Connecticut.
KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Anna has had a successful career as a professional dancer and choreographer where she performed in the US and internationally. Her performances and tours include the international tour of Fame, the 50th anniversary of the Music Man, the 50th anniversary of West Side Story, and more! She was also a backup dancer for Shakira.
- Anna is certified in Pilates and yoga and in 2002 she began working as a boutique fitness instructor.
- In 2018, AKT was sold and they now have over 120 franchise studios and international studios in Japan, Saudi Arabia and Australia
- During the shutdown in 2020, Anna was pregnant, and overnight she had to pivot and transform her studios and fitness classes into 100% virtual while also moving from New York City to Connecticut. Her friendships with other moms and entrepreneurs played an integral role in getting through such a stressful and challenging season.
- Advice for entrepreneurs: Choose a lane and do what you do well. Find people to round out your weaknesses, put together a list of all those things that you either don't do well, or you would rather not do so that you can focus your energy on what you do well.
- Self-care should be a lifestyle commitment for moms. Do something for yourself to feel better in your skin. You feel stronger when you walk out in the world and when you learn something new too. Education is the new luxury for us moms to be able to learn something new.
- Mom hack: Use a sticker chart to track your workouts or a certain self-care activity that you choose. When you see your progress on the calendar in front of you, the amount of days you’ve taken time for yourself can be very sobering and inspiring.
- Find a workout that you enjoy and really love to do. If you don’t enjoy it, it won’t happen.
