Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we talk about the board-breaking exercise to release limiting beliefs and take a moment to celebrate how far you’ve come. Board breaking is a metaphor, an empowering exercise to break through your perceived limitations in your life.  I have done this exercise a few times and it looks easy, but it is not.  I wanted to share an experience of breaking a board I had in my NLP Master Practitioner over 18 months ago and how it shifted me to release those limiting beliefs.  This is a reminder to look back at how far you’ve come.  In this episode, we...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we talk about the awareness of if you are wiring your brain for judgment, criticism or comparison as it relates to social media use.  I recently heard a quote on the Growth Day App with Brendon Bouchard, the link to try it out is below. In this episode, we discuss:  1) Judgments and decisions saturate people's lives. Most people scroll past 1000 posts a day which means you have wired your brain for judgment comparison and contempt 1000 times over on a minimum per day. This is with 1-2 hours of scrolling per day. 2) How can you become more intentional with your time...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we talk about how important it is to speak your vision to life, focusing on what do you see, what do you hear, what do you feel, and then detaching from how it happens and comes to life. The how is not up to you.  I share a personal example of how I blew past my Q1 goals for 2024, even after I almost felt like quitting. In this episode, we discuss:  1)  Speak life into where you are going as opposed to where you have been. Feed your energy into your future and what you are creating, and set your goals with who you will be or who you are becoming in the end not...

685 | Belief Will Take You Further Than Talent show art 685 | Belief Will Take You Further Than Talent

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we talk about how belief will take you further than talent.  Even more, than this, it requires that you have belief to get started. It is our job to raise our beliefs to match our vision, not just the belief but also the identity of the person who can bring that vision to life. I heard this Henry Ford example, he could have said I can’t build cars because if they break down, we have no mechanic shops to fix them, no idea where we will make the tires or the parts to fix them, he could have said: “there’s no point in starting.”  There has to come a moment where...

Own Your Choices Own Your Life

In this episode, we talk about living at cause, radical responsibility, and choosing to own your choices.  In this episode, we discuss:  1)  Living at cause is living in full ownership of your choices, decisions, thoughts, beliefs, and actions.  This is the basis for NLP, which means living at cause is greater than living at effect.  This means we can live as a victim of our life or it’s not our fault because x,y,z, or we can say based on our circumstances we choose to do this and live at cause. 2) There is no magic answer, perfect scenario, or solution that is...

More Episodes

In this episode, I am sharing thoughts on how mentors can teach you how to collapse time.  I have been in the role of being a lifelong student for years, and I recently experienced a Breakthrough Day as a Master NLP Practitioner and it had me reflecting on this journey.

In this episode, we discuss:
1)  We all have a personal and business vision of who we are and where we want to be, but getting there on our own, with all life’s distractions, commitments, psychological baggage, perceived limitations and roadblocks, can block our momentum.  Our brain, limiting thoughts and beliefs are not our friend and can stop us in our tracks.

2) A great coach or mentor, especially one who has been in your shoes before, and then upsized. For a good coach to be a good fit for you, they must have had actual experience in what you want to achieve, and they must have done what you want before, in their own lives.  They are an expert because they have shared their experiences and it is relatable to you and where you’re at.

3) The only way they can truly collapse time is if you choose to integrate, apply the learnings and embody the lessons. Plus your network becomes your net worth.  Get in the rooms and allow yourself to immerse and learn what you are meant to learn. It’s accountability at its finest.
